When the municipality of Hollands Kroon was urgently looking for a partner to furnish refugee shelters, they issued a public tender. “As project coordinator of this project, it was my task to find the right party who could meet all our requirements,” says Judith. The municipality of Hollands Kroon had to fully furnish 42 apartments within just four weeks to accommodate Ukrainian refugees. A huge task – especially since the municipality had no prior experience with this and furnishing shelters does not normally fall within their responsibilities.
“We doubted whether we should rent or buy the furniture. Because it was such a large project, we launched a tender,” Judith explains.
The challenge lay in the strict deadline and the fact that setting up shelters was not a standard task for the municipality. KeyPro needed to act quickly and deliver a fully furnished location within the given timeframe – including furniture, appliances, and accessories.

When the rental period ends, we carefully disassemble everything and pick up the furniture.
Because this project was highly urgent, the municipality and KeyPro worked closely together. “It was very easy to get in touch, and KeyPro always responded quickly,” Judith explains. Even before the official agreement was signed, KeyPro took the bold step of placing the order in advance to meet the tight deadline. As a result, most of the furniture was delivered more than a week ahead of schedule.
The collaboration between the Municipality of Hollands Kroon and KeyPro led to impressive results. Thanks to the fast and efficient furnishing of the shelters, Ukrainian refugees were able to move into the apartments quickly.
