The Municipality of Groningen was faced with a complex challenge in setting up a temporary shelter for Ukrainian refugees. The project was marked by uncertainties and delays, making it difficult for the municipality to complete on time. KeyPro was brought in to fully furnish the housing units, allowing the municipality to focus on other crucial aspects of the project.
The project became increasingly complex due to a series of unforeseen circumstances. Delivery of the housing units was delayed by the earthquake in Turkey. On top of that, setbacks in permit approvals due to environmental issues and severe weather caused further delays in the construction of the shelters. As a result, the schedule had to be continuously adjusted, making it difficult for the Municipality of Groningen and its partners to complete the project on time.

Another key success factor was the mock-up KeyPro created to test the furnishing of the housing units. This allowed the team to fine-tune the setup, resulting in an efficient and sustainable furnishing of the units for the Ukrainian refugees. Gadema explains:
“This mock-up showed us exactly how the spaces could be arranged in the best possible way, which made the whole process significantly easier.”
