At KeyPro, we believe in second chances (and third, fourth). For furniture, and for the planet. We prefer not tot throw anything away if there’s a better option. We use a smart, circular approach to keep products in use for a longer period of time.
Meet the R-Ladder (Ladder of Circular Strategies): a framework of ten strategies to handle products in a smarter, more sustainable, and circular way. The higher you climb, the greater your positive impact.
At KeyPro, the R-ladder isn’t just a theory, it is our compass. Not one step, but several at once. We refuse unnecessary purchases, reuse furniture, refurbish pieces, and repair what’s broken. And it works. For our clients, for our warehouse, and for the world around us.
Curious what that looks like in practice? Explore each step below.
At KeyPro, we look at furniture differently. We don’t see products that are written off after a single use. We see opportunities. Chances to reuse, repair and refurbish. To preserve value instead of throwing it away.
The R-Ladder of Circularity guides our approach. It shows how to make smarter use of products, from preventing waste to extending their lifespan to the fullest.
That is why we deliberately choose durable furniture made form high-quality materials. Their strength and resilience allow us to refurbish and reuse them again and again, giving each piece a new life time after time.
This mindset runs through everything we do. We minimize new purchases. We reuse what we already have. And we make sure furniture is ready for its next chapter, even after a project ends.
Because at KeyPro, we don’t just rent out furniture. We keep it moving.
Circular. Thoughtful. And simply taken care of.
At KeyPro, we believe you don’t need to own furniture to make full use of it. With our Product-as-a-Service model, every piece of furniture gets a new story. It moves from home to home, from project to project. Refurbished and prepared for its next destination each time.
For our clients, this means convenience. For us, it means responsibility. We ensure that every item keeps moving, never ending its journey as waste. Together, we close the circle: practical, stylish and endlessly circular.
Working circularly isn’t about grand plans. It’s about the choices you make every single day.
Not buying new, but reusing what’s already there. Not discarding what still has value, but refurbishing, repairing, and passing it on.
And that makes a difference:
Why is reuse the biggest saver? Because it prevents furniture from being incinerated or thrown away. Especially the burning of foam and plastic components causes high CO₂ emissions. By reusing furniture, you skip that phase entirely.
According to research commissioned by Rijkswaterstaat, reusing a sofa can cut CO₂ emissions in half. This means you save not only raw materials, but also a significant amount of emissions.
(TAUW, 2022)
And we don’t do this alone.
“Reuse extends the lifespan and avoids new production. That is exactly where the greatest CO₂ savings lie for furniture.”
– CE Delft, 2019
Each partnership strengthens our mission: extending the life of furniture and reducing the burden on our planet.
Because circularity is never a solo act, it’s something you achieve together.
And every client who chooses KeyPro automatically becomes part of that journey.
Every chair, table, or cabinet we reuse makes the world a little more sustainable. And the more organizations join in, the greater the impact.
Curious how circular furniture could fit into your project? We’d be glad to explore the possibilities with you. Practical, thoughtful, and tailored to what is truly needed.
For us, at KeyPro, circularity means that furniture is not written off after a single project but given multiple lives. We reuse, repair, and refurbish. And we only recycle when there is no other option. In doing so, we save raw materials, energy, and waste, while keeping furniture in continuous circulation.
After each project, KeyPro collects the furniture, inspects and cleans every item, and refurbishes whatever is needed. The furniture is then sent on to its next location, ready for a second, third or even fourth life.
If a piece of furniture truly reaches the end of its life, we first check whether any parts can still be reused. Whatever remains is sent for recycling. This way, even the very last piece retains value, and nothing ends up as waste unnecessarily.
KeyPro refurbishes furniture in collaboration with local partners, creating employment opportunities for people who face challenges in accessing the job market.
Because at KeyPro, we believe sustainable impact starts close to home. We work with regional suppliers and partners to reduce transport movements and strengthen the local economy.
By delivering complete circular interiors, KeyPro makes it easy for clients to achieve their own sustainability goals. Less waste, lower CO₂ emissions, and the reuse of furniture are automatically built into every project.
